 Case background


Small metal pieces need to be placed in a designated position so that different semi-finished pieces can be connected through screws in the next assembly process. The traditional processing method is to manually sort sheet metal pieces. The repetitive action of sorting and long working hours are easy to cause defective products and industrial accidents. A set of automatic picking equipment is designed for the scenario to meet the application.


Technical difficulties


1. The factory environment is complex and the light changes greatly;


2. The workpiece is out of order and cannot be loaded with standard equipment;


3. It needs to be fast compatible with multiple products, and traditional non-standard automation equipment cannot be realized;

01. The vision part adopts 3D structured light camera+depth learning algorithm.

02. Use 3D vision to locate products within the material frame, avoiding collision points and generating grab points.

03. Use 2D vision for precise positioning twice to ensure feeding accuracy.

04. Set multiple gripping points for the workpiece to improve the frame cleaning rate.
